W drugim tygodniu tegorocznych ferii (11 lutego br.) odbył się Turniej Tenisa Stołowego o Puchar Wójta Gminy Lubsza. Rozgrywany był w hali sportowej lubszańskiej szkoły. Wzięło w nim udział kilkudziesięcioro zawodników, na co dzień korzystających z zajęć feryjnych w świetlicach wiejskich. Młodzi tenisiści rywalizowali w dwóch kategoriach wiekowych. Kibice z kolei mogli wziąć udział w rozgrywkach w popularne piłkarzyki.
W kategorii klas I-IV pierwsze miejsce zajęła Natalia Wdowik, która wyprzedziła Lenę Sokół i Alicję Michalską. Natomiast w kategorii klas V-VIII najlepszy okazał się Mikołaj Medyński, drugie miejsce zajął Marcin Łowkis, a trzecie – Emilia Noworolska.
Wszyscy uczestnicy zawodów otrzymali nagrody i dyplomy. Wręczał je Michał Marek, wójt Gminy Lubsza. – Ja sam uczestniczyłem kiedyś w takich zawodach i bardzo miło to wspominam – mówił. – Cieszę się, że tak licznie bierzecie udział w turnieju.

Na każdego uczestnika zawodów, a także kibiców czekał poczęstunek. Organizatorem turnieju był Gminny Ośrodek Kultury w Lubszy, zawody sfinansowane zostały ze środków Gminnego Programu Rozwiązywania Problemów Alkoholowych w Lubszy.
