Karnawałowy bal był kulminacyjnym punktem zajęć feryjnych w świetlicach wiejskich na terenach gminy Lubsza. Odbył się on 13 lutego br. w Gminnym Ośrodku Kultury. Wzięło w nim udział blisko 150 dzieci (ich transport zapewnił GOK), które podczas ferii brały udział w zajęciach świetlicowych.
Kilkugodzinną zabawę prowadził animator, który zadbał o różnorodną rozrywkę dla dzieci. Impreza rozpoczęła się jednak od spotkania z policjantem – aspirant sztabowy Michał Scąber z brzeskiej policji mówił najmłodszym o zasadach bezpieczeństwa w różnych sytuacjach. Towarzyszył mu Policuś, czyli sympatyczna maskotka, z którą dzieci chętnie przybijały „piątki”.
Ponadto odbyły się warsztaty ekologiczne dotyczące segregacji śmieci, a ich uczestnicy otrzymali specjalne tematyczne książeczki. W sali obok miała miejsce Retrosfera, czyli pokaz i możliwość skorzystania z konsol i gier z dawnych lat. W trakcie imprezy zastępca wójta gminy Lubsza Tomasz Witkowski (w zastępstwie nieobecnego wójta Michała Marka) wręczył nagrody uczestnikom prowadzonego podczas ferii konkursu ekologicznego Zimowy krajobraz.

W przerwach podczas zabawy na najmłodszych czekał poczęstunek. Każde dziecko uczestniczące w balu otrzymało również drobny upominek.
Organizatorem balu (oraz zajęć feryjnych) był Gminny Ośrodek Kultury w Lubszy. Wszelkie działania ekologiczne (m.in. warsztaty) prowadzone były dzięki współpracy z Zakładem Gospodarowania Odpadami Gać sp. z o.o.
