W środę, 6 sierpnia, w Skorogoszczy przeprowadzono nietypową akcję ratunkową. Druhowie z Ochotniczej Straży Pożarnej w Lewinie Brzeskim, działając na prośbę Gminy Lewin Brzeski i Sylwii Tokarz-Rak, ruszyli na pomoc rannemu bocianowi, który utknął na wysepce na rzece Nysa Kłodzka.
Ptak, niezdolny do lotu, znajdował się w miejscu trudno dostępnym. Strażacy dostali się na wysepkę i bezpiecznie ewakuowali bociana, a następnie przetransportowali go do Zawady w gminie Turawa. Tam trafił do Opolskiego Centrum Leczenia i Rehabilitacji Dzikich Zwierząt "Avi", gdzie objęto go specjalistyczną opieką.
Dzięki szybkiej reakcji i sprawnemu działaniu służb, ranny bocian ma szansę na powrót do pełni sił i swojego naturalnego środowiska.
